Reykjavík world's 14th most expensive city, slightly more affordable than New York
If bird watching is your thing you should stop by at Húsabakki Nature Center and Birdland Exhibition (Náttúrusetrið á Húsabakka) in north Iceland. It lies on the edge of Iceland’s oldest nature reserve and is a bird lover’s paradise.
It is not a stuffed birds in cupboards museum. Visitors can for example pick up many of the objects on display. The area is renowned in Iceland for its rich birdlife, featured in the exhibition, and its beautiful mountain surroundings.
It is very children-friendly and offers a mixture of folklore and a scientific approach.
