Iceland and Icelandic architecture is featured extensively in the latest edition of architectural webmagazine Uncube. The issue features articles on the old, traditional turf houses, a photo essay by Danish/Icelandic artist Ólafur Elíasson, and a critical look at the surge Iceland is experiensing in tourism, which, the magazine claims, is having a marked effect on Reykjavík’s urban fabric.

Uncube is a new Berlin-based digital magazine published in English , focusing on architecture, art, and design world wide. The magazine´s team travelled to Iceland in September 2015 in order to check out what they describe as „one of Europe‘s most fascinating and enigmatic geographical outposts“. They interviewed architects, historians, and artists in a bid to get to get to know the country, and its architecture, better.
